Recreational Programs U9-U18

U9-U18 Summer Rec Leagues

This is the introductory level of soccer at Ottawa TFC, with programs in both the Gloucester and Orleans areas.  Whether you are new to the sport and want to try it out or have experience playing but don’t wish to play at a competitive level, this is the spot for you!

This program allows for players to try out the sport, learn from some of our coaches and play for the enjoyment of playing.  In this fun atmosphere, players will gain comfort with the ball at their feet and will grow their love of the game.

U9-U18 Spring Tune-Up Scrimmages

The "Spring Tune-Up" programme has been cancelled due to the Public Health directive banning organised, outdoor sports during Ontario's province-wide "lockdown."

Please see OTFC's "lockdown programming" page for information about OTFC's Virtual Training Academy, an excellent way to keep your OTFC Recreational player active and exercising during this time of limited programming options.

U9-U12 Skills Centre - Rec

This skills centre is for Recreational players who want to supplement their Rec league play with weekly skills training under the tutelage of our club coaches.  Players will work with some of our young coaches or elite youth players who will teach age-specific soccer and movement skills in a fun environment.  Players will learn, work hard and enjoy this program, which will improve both their enjoyment and performance during their Summer Rec League games.

Age and Format

10 weeks of skills training for Rec players U9-U12, starting the end of June / beginning of July (pending Public Health direction).  The Skills Centre sessions will be extended into September, if necessary.

This will be station format training, led by club coaches, with players rotating between small-sided games-based exercises and technical exercises for working on skill and physical literacy.
