Recreational League

Players in the Recreational leagues can expect to play a soccer game each week as part of a balanced team, while training once a week.  New for 2018, players U9-U15 will participate in a small sided scrimmage tournaments instead of training sessions on their practice nights.  


Program Details

Soccer Age:
  • U9
  • U10
  • U12 (U11-U12 combined)
  • U15 (U13-U15 combined)
  • U18 (U16-U18 combined)

Level of Play:

U9/U10 - 7 aside (7v7) - 2 x 25 mins

U11-U12 - 9 aside (9v9) - 2 x 30 mins

U13-U15 - 9 aside (9v9) or 11 aside (11v11)* - 2 x 40 mins

U16-U18 - 9 aside (9v9) or 11 aside (11v11)- 2 x 45 mins

Depending on the number of players registered, the Club may choose to either play 9 aside (9v9) or 11 aside (11v11) for these age groups.

Season Length: Mid-May to mid-August
Weekly Commitment:

Games and Practices:

  • One game per week
  • One practice or scrimmage per week

Goalkeeper Training Opportunity:

  • Goalkeepers have an option of receiving basic goalkeeper training through the Introduction to Keeper U9-U18 program to enhance their skills in this position.

  • All players will be contacted by Team Officials.  

June 8, 9, 10, 2018

  • Pictures (not included in the player registration fee)

August 25 and 26, 2018

  • U13 to U18 Tournament/Playoffs.

Player Registration Fee (U10-U18):

On or before March 31st: $195 (early bird discount)
After March 31st: $235 

U9 - Uniform fee covered in U9 Base Registration:

On or before March 31st: $225 (early bird discount)

After March 31st: $265

Non-Volunteer fee: $50 per family (mandatory fee, refundable after volunteering)

Player Requirements:
  • Players are required to wear protective shin guards and shoes at all games and practices.  Soccer cleats are allowed and recommended at all age groups.
  • No jewelry, hair clips or bracelets (excluding Medical Alerts) are allowed to be worn on the soccer field.  Ontario Soccer (OS) Policy states that all jewelry including, but not limited to earrings and watches must be removed.  Taping earrings is also not allowed.  Jewelry poses an unnecessary risk to all players. 
  • Casts – Hard casts are not permitted.
  • Medical Alerts – Medical Alerts are allowed, but must be taped down.
  • Eyeglasses – The club strongly recommends that players who wear eyeglasses, wear sports glasses during games and practices for everyone's safety.
